Forgot to update this week...we had our 28 week appointment on Wednesday! It was the longest appointment in the history of time! I had to drink the yummy Glucola drink...mine was lemon lime and it was by far the sweetest thing I have ever drank! I was surprised Dylan wasn't bouncing off the walls in there but she did not seem to mind! We then had an ultrasound where daddy got to make sure she was still a girl and didn't grow boy parts in the past two months...she is! Great news that my placenta has moved back to where it is supposed to be and there should be no complications in that area! That little stinker hates having her picture taken and refused to show her face so no good pictures at this one! Boo! At my appointment I was 27 weeks 3 days and she was measuring at 28 weeks 6 days at a whopping 2 lbs 9 oz already! Daddy keeps calling her "haus baby"... I told him that is giving her a complex! So I am hoping for future reference that we don't get too many more newborn items...don't think they will fit past the first week if that long! Her heart rate was doing good at 141. Momma also checked out good and my blood pressure was 110/70 and I only gained 3 lbs! Yay!
I cannot believe we only have 12 more weeks to go...
We got her nursery furniture last week and daddy got it all put together! I got all of her little clothes washed and put in her drawers! It's coming together but still feels like I have a million things to do!
We have our second shower this weekend...hoping we get some good things! Update and picture to follow!
This is a page about us... a page about love....a page about life.... a page about two best friends coming together and living happily ever after...

Bump up the Jam...
A little update on how big Dylan is getting!
Week 23 she is the size of a mango and also the week she decided she needed to dislocate my hip! I was in so much pain for about a week! It hurt to sit, stand, walk, lay down, pee... I was in tears most days! Of course the doc was no help just referred me to physical therapy...in two weeks! I decided to get a therapeutic massage which hurt like hell but actually worked wonders! I was like a new person in two days after that!
Week 24 she was the size of corn!
Now down to 25 week which means only 15 weeks more to go! She is the size of a rutabaga which we have no idea what that is (apparently some sort of turnip??) and it is also 13.5 inches to knock out confusion! Bob also must have been drunk when he took this because it is super blurry! Started physical therapy this week and while I was feeling much better, I think she just made it hurt again! Hoping it will be worth it in the long run and I won't revert back to the pain!
Oh this is also the week that Bob and mom finally got to feel Dylan kick from the outside! Still kinda weak from the outside but she sometimes flips like crazy! Going back in two weeks to make sure the placenta has moved out of the front and back where it is supposed to go! We are on the downward slide....
Not sure what happened at week 21 but I don't have a picture for that one!
Week 22 she was the size of spaghetti squash! Getting bigger everyday!

Baby Shower #1
So busy around the Brooks house lately! Seems we are always on the go! So excited we got to spend this past weekend getting ready for baby Dylan! Aunt Phyllis was so nice to throw me a shower at her house and it was so nice! I offered to make the invitations since it was kinda short notice and I had to send them all over the globe!
I am also lucky to have great friends! My friend Jaime and her mom Nickie agreed to make the cake...for free! I was so excited! And it turned out great!
I was so excited about everyone that showed up despite the rain that day! Some people I have not seen in a while so that was fun as well! Just a few pics to see all the stuff Dylan racked up!
Beware: Lots of PINK ahead!
It was so much fun and I am pretty sure that Dylan has enough clothes for the entire first year! Things are coming together pretty great in preparation!

What's New??
I am not sure what is new...not with us anyway... I am still big and pregnant and my due date is still 4 months away! AHHHH! But I can tell you whats old....
I have not been on top of things lately for some reason...it really only takes about 10 minutes to update this thing after the pics are loaded to the computer...they have been loaded for well over a week! LOL!
Branson...
After we found out we were having a little girl, we went to Branson for 5 days just to hang out, kinda our farewell trip before we are parents... It was cheap and close to home!
It was actually quite fun despite the rain! We went the week of labor day (I didn't realize it when I booked it) and apparently Branson closes down that week because every show we wanted to see was not showing that week! But thought I would share a few things...
We went to Ripley's Believe it or not and it was super cool!
We also got to go to the Price is Right! Yes, you read correctly! They have the Price is Right in Branson and it was awesome! We got our little name tags and anticipated the show! We did not get our name called but it was still super fun! They called four different people for each round, then there were three different people that got to spin the wheel and then there was the showcase showdown where there were two totally different people that got to bid on the same showcase...they both went over and neither won! The most anyone won for the night was $500 cash which was awesome! They had plinko, hole in one, punch game, cliffhanger, etc. It was neat...I recommend it!
They had a car show at the mall and this was the only one they had on display that was really worth looking at it was a 1952 (I think) Studabaker...super cool!
Branson trip was nice and relaxing for us...it was nice to get Bob away from work for a few days even though it still stressed him out with phone calls but at least he was with me! :)
Razorbacks....
Football season is in full swing here in Hog country and it has been pretty uneventful! We are going on our 4th week and are already 1-2 for the season...
The first game we went to a tailgate at some friends to hang out and I took some fun pics!
This is the Hughes' house mascot Sooie! Sooie is a super cute boxer...
Sooie really likes beer...they said she will drink it constantly...please do not try this at home!
This is Rob being super sad that we were sucking so bad at the beginning of the game
We have had no Razorback fun since then because we haven't done much to celebrate for so far this season...hoping it picks up!
Baby update...finally ordered her furniture and bedding! Will be so glad to get it and start putting her room together! Next appt is next week for a checkup!

Bumpity Bump!
Update on how the baby is growing! I have overall been doing well...it has almost gotten to where it is now difficult to bend over and it feels like I have so much pressure under my rib cage where it is just uncomfortable! Blah! 19 more weeks to go...seems like forever!
Seems like baby is starting to really grow fast! Glad to have the good report that everything is perfect so far with both of us! So ready for January to get here!
Finally at the halfway point! Baby is the size of a small cantaloupe!
19 week picture...baby was the size of an heirloom tomato. This is when we had the anatomy scan and she is measuring right on target!
Week 17 baby was the size of an onion!

Baby update!
Have been so busy the last few weeks, I haven't got a chance to update the blog! So, I thought I would at least add the important things! Went to the doc on Wednesday to see our sweet little baby...it was so exciting!! It was amazing the things we got to see on this little machine! She checked the heart, lungs, brain, GI tract, blood flow, everything was perfect! Even those three little lines we got a peek of between our little GIRLS legs!! :) It was so sweet...she just just twisting and turning in there and I didn't feel a thing! Her little heart beat was 147 and she was weighing in at 11 oz and about 12 cm long. She was just adorable!
Didn't get any pics on the CD of the little girl parts but its for sure! Bob keeps saying "but what if it comes out a boy?"... wishful thinking on his part! LOL! I think I have another ultrasound in a couple months so I am sure they will double check it then. The doctor said I have an anterior (front) placenta which means that the placenta is lying low on the cervix which means it could cause bleeding but normally it will correct itself before delivery and it will be nothing to worry about. This is also why I can't really feel baby and why I can't feel her at all from the outside. I was shocked when she was moving the ultrasound machine at the top of my stomach and getting great pics...I can feel the baby way down in my pelvis only so it was really weird but apparently that is where the placenta is which is why I cannot feel it up higher....hoping that thing moves out of the way soon because I am ready for daddy to feel her too! We are so blessed...cannot wait for January to get here!
Leaving for Branson tomorrow and I will update all the fun things we have been up to, including belly pics, when we get back!

Bob turns 30!
Bob decided the only thing he wanted for his birthday this year was to hang out and drink beer with his buddies...Since I, of course, cannot drink beer with his buddies.... I wasn't really looking forward to going out to the bar til wee hours of the morning so I decided to throw a party at the house! I thought it would be a pretty good 30th birthday! So I cooked some good food, bought a cute cake and of course had decorations!
I thought I got Bob a pretty good gift, as we all know, he is impossible to buy for! I got him Baggo because he always talks about how he had one and he let some guy borrow it and never saw it again! But, being the little sneak he is, guessed what he was getting! Grrr! His parents did get him 2 months worth of yard service which he said was the best gift ever...maybe he can help me out more with the house work....hmmm....
He did somehow talk me into indoor Baggo for his party....
I think everyone had a pretty good time...even Gracie! For some reason, everyone wanted to pick her up and she hates being held...lol!
Rob thought it was funny that I was eating the "ass of the Hog"...
Happy 30th Bobby! I love you!
Update on the Pea Pod: Doctors appointment last week went well, have a neurologist appointment scheduled in a couple of week for the headaches but they seem to actually be getting better so I may skip it! Next appointment: August 29th @ 9:45am where we get to find out the gender! Yay! Counting down the days!
Up to week 16 where baby is the size of an avocado!
