3 months old!
This baby is growing like a weed! 13lbs 4oz at 3 months old. Almost doubling his birthweight! He loves to eat! He is in size 2 diapers basically skipping the size 1 all together. I think he was in them maybe 3 weeks. We didn't even finish a box! He's in 3 month clothes too! He is such a sweet boy and sleeping 6-8 hours a night most nights which is awesome. Oddly enough the longer he sleeps, the more tired I am! He is smiling and loves his little chair where he can sit up and look around. He is trying to roll over but he feels like it's too much trouble so he would just rather scream at me and I just do it for him.

2 Months Old
Time slow down! This kid is almost 3 months old and I'm just now posting his 2 month stuff!! He's growing so fast. He was so tiny in the beginning and I guess he got tired of me complaining about it so he wants to eat non stop and beef up fast! He weighed in at 10 lbs 14oz. Still running small in the 25% but trying so hard! He is doing fantastic. Trying to roll over, holding his head up like a champ, moving his arms and legs more, starting to be a little more cool instead of just laying around. He loves being strapped to momma and he thinks his big sister is fantastic! He is sleeping 4-6 hours usually which is nice. He loves going out of the house and seeing new things. Not a huge fan of tummy time but we are working on it. Here are a few pictures of the big guy!

One Month Old!
Can't believe a month has gone by already! Little Drew is finally gaining weight and getting big. He was off to a slow start but is up to 8lb 1oz and 20.5 inches. Already starting to be too long for his newborn pjs! He's doing great with holding his head up and loves mommy snuggles. He has even slept well at night a couple of times. We are trying to get a great schedule going but it is definitely hard! He loves for me to carry him in his sling. It's his most favorite place on earth! And love car rides which is a big change from his sister. But don't stop the car. That part, he hates! He is still sweet as ever and I'm trying to savor every last minute!

Welcome Drew!!
Only 3 weeks late but what an interesting 3 weeks it has been!!
Andrew James Brooks was born on May 6, 2016 @ 7:59 am and weighed 7lb 8oz at 20 inches long!! It was instantly obvious that he was much quieter than his sister.
Since he was only 39 weeks he was covered in that fancy stuff... We weren't overly excited about that part... They don't even wash it off before they hand him to you. They have changed the policy to where mom actually gets to hold baby right after they do his initial check.
Once we got him checked out and everyone got back to the room, we were shocked at how quiet he was. He instantly caught on to breastfeeding and was eating and pooping like a champ.
He had lots of visitors in his first few hours and loved that he got to meet his big sister! She was instantly in love with him and protective. She didn't know why anyone else was holding "mommy's baby". She says he is mommy's baby that she got at the hospital.

Final countdown!
Elevated heart rate, shortness of breath, heartburn, hip and pelvic pain, weakness... All of these things I have been experiencing the last 4-5 months. It's been so tough!! But now we are in the final countdown and headed to the hospital to see our prince. 3 hours and counting. I just keep imagining what he will look like but I know he will be just perfect. It's exciting and terrifying all at the same time. I've cried a lot of tears this past week on what to expect of bringing a second child home. I'm not even sure I remember what it's like to have a baby! But I can't wait to see his sweet face! Here is a little time lapse picture to remember our time over the last 9 months.

My sweet girl!!
I can't believe that in 3 short days my sweet girl will no longer be the only child. I'm not sure how I really feel about that. This child of mine loves her momma like none other. She doesn't like to share me at all. I've heard all kinds of stories about how the toddler becomes suddenly independent and distant after you have the baby. I don't want any of this to happen!! I absolutely love baby Drew so much and he isn't even here yet but I just can't imagine loving two people as much as I love Dylan. She is spunky, hard headed, rough and tumble, demanding and just when you want to pull all your hair out, she is sweet and caring and gives you an "I'm sorry momma" that will just melt your heart! She has been sleeping in our bed the last month because her room is "scawy" so I have no clue how this is going to work with the new baby.
We have spent the last couple weeks trying to do everything we can with her as our last days a a family of 3 and we have had so much fun. I made yesterday mommy Dylan day and we went non stop all day! I think she loved it. We went shopping for her some clothes and shoes, went to Arby's, went to the movies, and even had time and room in our belly for ice cream. She kept saying "oh momma belly loves ice cream". Ha

Baby #2
It definitely is true what people say about the second child... apparently no one really cares if you are pregnant or bringing a new child into the family. I have tried hard to do everything for baby Drew but I am just so tired and feel terrible and it has been like this the whole time. I do not have his nursery ready at all... like at all. I just have stuff piled up all over the place. I am supposed to be getting his bedding in this week and hopefully I can get everything in place over the weekend. I finally went through and washed all of his stuff and realized he has NO pajamas... that is like the one thing I have to have to bring baby home! It's like diapers, bed, and then pajamas has to be up there in the top 3 I think! Sigh... poor little Drew! And blankets... I seriously had at least 15 PINK blankets that everyone and their momma bought for Dylan, most of them monogrammed, most of them NEVER made it out of the closet... how many blankets does he have?? 3... and one of them was Dylan's from one of her showers that she never used.
People never call or text to see how he is doing or how I am doing. When I go out places, people are rude and are never nice or mention that I am pregnant the way they did when I was pregnant with Dylan. Seriously was at WalMart this week at 9 months pregnant and the cashier took a deep sigh when I got up there and said "how much weight can you even lift?" really?? Why would my groceries sacks be that heavy??
So... what have I been doing this week?? Buying stuff online! Diapers, pajamas, burp cloths, blankets.... I swear I have a package at my door every day. But I am determined everything is going to be in place when he gets here. Only 8 more days to go!
