5 months old!!

Dylan is getting so big!! She is weighing in at 17.5 lbs and is 25 inches long! Still can't reach the floor in her jumper but she tries tippie toes!! She is eating oatmeal like a champ and we do it every day! She loves it, she opens her mouth and says ahh when we do it! She got a highchair too so she likes swinging her feet while she eats! She rolls so fast now that I can walk out of the room and I can't find her when I come back! She wants to crawl so bad but has not quite mastered the arms so she crawls mainly on her back! We are also working so hard on sitting up! She likes for me to pull her up but has no desire to do it on her own! She is officially in 6 month clothes, I had to go buy more bc it seems like everything she has is way to small or way too big! She is still in size 3 diapers. We have also accomplished sleeping in her own bed! She has been doing it about two weeks now and I think has only slept with us maybe twice since then! Big girl! Of course mommy does not sleep with her in there but it's progress! Here are a few pictures to capture the month!

Baby Dedication!

We dedicated Dylan at church on Sunday, June 16, 2013 which was also Father's Day. It was just a nice little ceremony with another couple where the church vowed to lead the babies to follow God in everything they do.
Not the best picture but the only one we got! Dylan was dedicated at the Grove Church in Fayetteville, AR by Pastor Charlie Loften. The bible verse that we picked for her was 1 Samuel 1:27-28 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given to the Lord
Charlie got a crack in about how big our sweet girl is and that apparently made her mad and we had to leave before the service was over.

Bob also got to celebrate his first Father's Day! It was a very wonderful and blessed day for everyone!

3rd Annual Chris Castleberry Classic!

Memorial Day weekend marked the time of year to remember our friend and hopefully set someone up with a pretty good scholarship! The boys participated again in the annual golf tourney and I just followed along in the cart! Bob teamed up with Jeff again and they got to be paired with Rob and Corey...it was entertaining! Bob and Jeff got an 82 (better than next to last like last year) and Rob and Corey got an 80...or so they say! I think they stopped keeping score after about the 15th hole! The winners got 8 under par. It actually wasn't burning hot like last year so that was nice! But I was pregnant last year so what do I know!

4 Months Old!!

Wow! Our girl is getting so big! We have had such a fun and crazy month! I feel like I never have time to update the blog so I try to put as much on here in one month as possible!! I also, for some reason, never put things on Facebook which was the initial reason for this blog...a semi private place to share all of the details of our little family with our extended family without sharing with the world of Facebook...so I need to get with the program! D is doing so much better so I really have no excuse!
We decided about a month ago after talking to moms instead of doctors that maybe she is intolerant to milk. I thought maybe I could cut milk out of my diet, which basically everything edible is made from milk, and it would take 2 weeks or so to get out of my system, so we decided to take the easy route and just start her on formula! She is like a totally different baby! We tried soy formula but that stopped her up so she is on a super expensive specialty formula...but it is so worth it! She sleeps all night (most of the time), takes naps during the day, is on a schedule of eating and poops regularly! It was very hard on her (and me) at first...she didn't understand why she had to have this bottle all the time... but she is getting used to it! She loves tummy time and rolling...rolling...rolling! She still loves her play mat and her chicken and we also put together her jumper thing and she thinks she likes it but not sure. She is doing great holding her head up and will sit in her bumbo chair for a while but her legs are almost too fat for it! We have tried a little oatmeal but she is still not sure about it! She likes reading and so far nursery rhymes are her favorite, the itsy bitsy spider is her total favorite! She likes grabbing things and putting them in her mouth, getting good at holding her bottle too but sometimes she would rather me do it...I am right there! Ha! Her hair is getting so long...it is a mess...it is super curly and since she lays on it all day it is super frizzed out in the back! I am not sure I know what to do with curly hair but I will be so glad when it gets to where we can fix it up!
At her 4 month appt she was weighing in at 16 lbs 6 oz (almost as much as Tryn, Shanon) and 24.5 inches long! Short and squatty but oh so cute! She is in size 3 diapers and wearing some 3 month clothes but mostly 6 month! Here are a few pictures to capture our month!

 It is nice to be getting into somewhat of a routine!! Now if I can get her used to me not holding her all the time...

3 Months Old!!

Cannot believe my little munchkin is 3 months old already!! She is getting so big...up to 14 lbs actually! She is in size 2 diapers and wearing 3-6 month clothes!!

She can now successfully roll over from belly to back and does every time she is on her belly!! She loves blowing bubbles and gurgling! She loves playing super baby with daddy and doing her ABC's with mommy! She loves her playmat and bouncy chair and loves her dancing monkey chicken! I think she is teething already as she likes chewing on her fingers and really anything she can get to her mouth! She likes to grab and pick up things. She is doing a lot better with her head but still having a little problems with her torticollis (where she holds her head to one side). We are practicing sitting up too! Gracie has gotten to where she just comes up to her and starts kissing her but is still not a fan of the crying! She still has a lot of problems with colic and is now on Zantac for reflux.

Dylan's first Easter! She didn't get to show off her dress because as soon as we walked through the church doors, she pooed all over it!! She doesn't like pretty dresses...

2 Months Old!!

Dylan is getting so big!! The second month pretty much a lot like the first....I finally broke down and took her to the doctor where he officially told us she had colic! Of course I had tried everything he had suggested and nothing works and if it does it usually does not last more than 5 minutes! She starter rolling over from belly to back at 5 weeks old...of course now she refuses to lay on her belly so she hasn't done it in about a week or so but I am still counting it! She smiles now and is very alert but still likes to stare at the ceiling fan! She has gotten to where she likes her ergo carrier and will let me carry her around the house in it instead of carrying her in my arms! The few days it was actually warm, we went for a walk in the stroller...she likes it some but doesn't quite make it the whole mile before she gets upset! She loves her sister Gracie and Gracie is starting to like her too... but she tries to steal her milk...

I can't believe how much she had grown in just a month!! She weighed 13 pounds 9 oz and was 23.5 inches long at her 2 1/2 month visit. It is so much fun to compare the pictures! I put in my two week notice at work and so it is just the two of us from now on! She is getting a little better everyday and we are looking forward to fun in our future!
